The client
Deloitte Middle East’s data and analytics practice needed an in-house platform for internal and external analytics and reporting.
The challenge
The platform had to run on premises and at enterprise scale, and it had to be rebuilt and extended without anyone hand-configuring hundreds of machines.
What we did
- Designed and provisioned more than 100 on-premises Linux servers and 1,000 disks as the warehouse foundation.
- Automated configuration management and environment deployment with Ansible.
- Deployed Cloudera Data Platform for data engineering, warehousing and MLOps.
- Installed and tuned the Informatica suite for data mapping and process workflows.
The result
A data warehouse that serves internal and external analytics and reporting, with environments rebuilt from code rather than by hand.
