Chemicals producerChemicals

An IoT and machine learning platform for a chemicals producer

We built an Azure data platform that feeds machine learning models, so plant operators get early fault detection and recommendations.

A chemical processing plant lit up at dusk.

The client

A chemicals company producing gasoline from methane wanted to use its plant data to run the process more efficiently. We don’t publish the client’s name.

The challenge

Process data needed to flow from the plant into models that could spot faults early and advise operators, without disrupting production.

What we did

  • Designed a data transformation and machine learning platform on Azure managed services.
  • Built the data flow from plant sensors into machine learning models that detect faults and recommend actions.
  • Worked alongside the client’s data scientists with a rigorous MLOps approach, so models could be deployed and updated safely.

The result

Operators get prompt fault detection and operational recommendations, helping the plant run more efficiently.
